Road Closure: Route Between Pair Of Parkways In Westchester To Close

Motorists in Westchester are being warned of an upcoming ramp closure that will affect a busy route between two parkways.

The ramp between the eastbound Cross County Parkway and the Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon is scheduled to close for a night.

The ramp from the eastbound Cross County Parkway to the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway (Exit 5) in Mount Vernon will close on Monday, Sept. 18 through Tuesday, Sept. 19, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.

The closure will begin at 11 p.m. on Monday and last until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, officials said. Motorists should follow posted detours as an alternate route.

The closure is being put into place to facilitate guide rail repairs.
